NCA9617A is a BiCMOS dual bidirectional buffer designed for I2C bus and SMBus systems. The component allows bidirectional voltage level shift (up-conversion and down-conversion modes) between low voltages (as low as 0.8V) and higher voltages (2.2V to 5.5V) in hybrid applications. During level shift, this component extends I2C and similar bus systems without impairing system performance.
